MZInc breaks new ground with videologue for lingerie cataloger and garners the Telly Award for Video Excellence

Challenge
MZInc’s challenge was to find a provocative way to arouse the interest in the Hosiery Corporation of America’s lingerie line.  

Solution
The creative solution was a "videologue" or "movielogue", which had been used in b2b advertising, but never for retail. MZInc showed the fashion merchandise on live models in a video format, complete with the ordering information. They took the concept took further by creating a storyline. The tale, shot on location in the Dominican Republic, featured two women on a vacation to find adventure and romance. The videologue showcased the lingerie and swimwear in engaging scenarios that a traditional, two-dimensional, print catalog never could.

Results
MZInc’s videologue was touted as a huge success, and was featured in multiple industry publications including Women’s Wear Daily and Direct Marketers Magazine. It also won the prestigious Telly Award for Video Excellence, an industry award given in recognition of the creativity and excellence in production quality. The most rewarding recognition of all, however, was that their work gained more orders for their client than ever before.
